“Raastha” tells the gripping story of Shahana, a determined young woman from Kerala who travels to Oman in search of her mother, missing for over two decades. The film opens on her arrival, filled with hope and anxiety, as she navigates unfamiliar terrain and seeks out leads with the support of compassionate Malayali expatriates.

As Shahana and her companions—Faizal, Mujeeb, and an Omani national named Khalid—venture deeper into their quest, they find themselves stranded in the vast and perilous Rub’ al Khali desert, one of the largest and most dangerous deserts in the world. The narrative shifts into a tense survival thriller, portraying their desperate struggle against the unforgiving natural elements and the psychological toll of isolation and uncertainty.

Through evocative cinematography capturing the stark beauty and brutal reality of the desert, the film explores themes of hope, resilience, and the human spirit’s drive to reconnect with lost loved ones. രണ്ട് പതിറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെയായി കാണാതായ തന്റെ അമ്മയെ അന്വേഷിച്ച് ഒമാനിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഷഹാന എന്ന ദൃഢനിശ്ചയമുള്ള യുവതിയുടെ ഹൃദയസ്പർശിയായ കഥയാണ് “രാസ്ത” പറയുന്നത്. പ്രതീക്ഷയും ഉത്കണ്ഠയും നിറഞ്ഞ അവളുടെ വരവോടെയാണ് ചിത്രം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്, അവൾ അപരിചിതമായ ഭൂപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുകയും കരുണയുള്ള മലയാളി പ്രവാസികളുടെ പിന്തുണയോടെ നായകന്മാരെ അന്വേഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
