His sole source of solace amidst these numerous trials is Noorjahan (Nikita Thukral). The narrative then follows Kunjakka’s journey as he navigates these complex personal and professional challenges, striving to resolve family disputes, restore trust, and uphold his honor. The film intricately weaves elements of comedy and action into its dramatic family narrative.

Upon its release on December 23, 2005, “Bus Conductor” garnered mixed reviews from critics. While Mammootty’s performance in the leading role received general praise, the film’s storytelling and script were frequently criticized for being formulaic and overly sentimental. Reviewers often described the film as “old wine in a new bottle,” faulting director V.M. Vinu for delivering predictable content despite his earlier successes. Some critics found the script to be “overweighed by treacle-soaked sentiments,” which made the narrative feel maudlin. The film was also labeled as a “run-of-the-mill cliché-crammed family formula story.” Despite criticisms regarding its predictable plot and excessive sentimentality, “Bus Conductor” managed to appeal to audiences as a light-hearted family entertainer.
