Shibu Chakravarthy is one of Malayalam cinema’s recognizable lyrical voices, known for writing songs that blend emotion, melody, and cinematic mood. Born in 1961, he entered the film world in the mid-1980s and quickly established himself as a writer with a natural feel for song and story.

His early work came with Allimalarkkaavu in 1984, but his real breakthrough arrived with Shyama and the song “Chembarathy Poove,” which brought him wider attention as a lyricist. From there, he became associated with some of the most memorable Malayalam film songs of the late 1980s and 1990s.
