## Kalabhavan Navas: The Versatile Voice of Malayalam Cinema
Kalabhavan Navas was a multifaceted Indian artist celebrated for his work as an actor, singer, comedian, and mimicry artist, primarily in the Malayalam film industry. Born in Vadakkancherry to Abubakar, who was himself a prominent theatre and film actor, Navas grew up immersed in the arts, which shaped his early passion and versatility across stage, television, and film.
Navas rose to prominence with his debut in the film Chaithanyam (1995). He went on to showcase his diverse talents in movies such as Neeyente Swanthamaavaan (2012), Kasaba (2016), Ormakalil Oru Manjukaalam (2015), Achayans (2017), and notably in Driving Licence (2019). Alongside his acting, he lent his voice as a playback singer, contributed to the music department in several projects, and was widely revered for his mimicry performances rooted in the legendary Kalabhavan school, which produced many of Kerala’s top comedy and mimicry talents.
Navas’s career spanned over three decades and left a distinct imprint on every genre he touched—from comedy to drama, and from stage mimicry to cinematic song.
