“Iyer in Arabia” follows the journey of Sreenivasa Iyer, an orthodox Brahmin father deeply rooted in traditional beliefs, who is faced with a challenge when his son moves to the Middle East and falls in love with a girl from a different religion. Alongside his wife, Jhansi Rani, a history professor and atheist, Iyer travels to Dubai with the intention of stopping his son’s plans to marry outside their faith.

The film humorously explores the clash between rigid orthodoxy and progressive thinking through the contrasting worldviews of Iyer and his wife. As the family navigates the vibrant and diverse culture of Dubai, a series of comedic incidents unfold that force Iyer to confront and reconsider his regressive beliefs.
